The workshop is aimed at all those who wish to learn traditional craft weaving techniques using natural and local materials, culminating in the creation of a basket or a hamper that each participant will take home as a memento of this activity. The “master” basket weaver, one of the very few capable of crafting “panari”, will impart the secrets of the weaving art, an art that is at risk of being lost.

Workshop suitable for both adults and children.

Very interesting workshop!

On my last trip to Puglia I thought of doing something different so I signed up for the Apuglian Basket Workshop. It was a very nice experience as the owner showed us how to create these beautiful traditional baskets. I really enjoyed it and made some friends. The whole group met the next day for lunch :) It was a very nice experience and you get to keep the basket!
